| As eventual winners of a competition by North Lanarkshire Council, Continuum will produce the multimedia software for interactives to be included in the refurbished industrial machinery exhibition at the 4 Star visitor attraction Summerlee Heritage Park. The interactives will allow visitors to find out how heavy raw materials such as coal and ironstone were moved. Also, the evolution of the horse and cart to water and then rail as well as the importance of the canal and railway to North Lanarkshire's industrial development will be displayed. Visitors will also gain an insight into the working conditions and physical labours involved in ironmaking, and appreciate the different roles of workmen around the furnace. The key messages will be delivered using different visual styles; AV screens, touch-screen, 3D reconstruction and fun and simple games that will allow visitors to test what they have learnt.   |
