During the Culture Secretary’s visit to York on 18 January, Continuum CEO, Juliana Delaney, took the opportunity to present him with a bouquet of sweets and chocolates and an invitation to visit CHOCOLATE – York’s Sweet Story when it opens this spring. The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP was in York as part of a series of roadshows to tell tourism businesses about the Government’s ‘Great’ marketing campaign, which aims to emphasise the tourism opportunity of the 2012 Games and put the spotlight on domestic tourism for this year and beyond. In his speech, he made the point that it was important to make sure that it wasn’t just London that received all the attention in 2012 but that all the other wonderful places and great things that Britain has to offer, such as CHOCOLATE – York’s Sweet Story in York, got their fair share of attention too. |
